Mario Cimino

Mario G.C.A. Cimino is an Associate Professor of Information Processing Systems at the University of Pisa. His research lies in the areas of Information Systems and Artificial intelligence. He is also a research associate at the Institute for Informatics and Telematics (IIT) and the Institute of information science and technologies (ISTI) of the Italian National Research Agency (CNR). He teaches Software Systems Engineering, Process Mining and Intelligence, and Advanced Programming. He is (co-)author of about 70 scientific publications. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Granular Computing (Springer) and the Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing (Springer). In 2006, he was a six-months visiting scholar at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Research Facility of the University of Alberta, Canada, under the supervision of Prof. W. Pedrycz. He is research associate at the "Center for Logistics Systems" at University of Pisa. He is co-founder of the "Machine Learning and Process Intelligence" Initiative at the Department of Information Engineering.
