Who is Abel?
Abel is an android, looking like a 12 years olds child. It will be helpful to understand human emotions while interacting with the environment around!
Abel particularly fits the interaction with autistic people, ando those others suffering from Dementia or Alzheimer's Disease.
Our humanoid has been developed by the Research Team of our Center, composed by: Professor Enzo Pasquale Scilingo, Lorenzo Cominelli, Alberto Greco and Roberto Garogarlo, along with Biomimic Studio in London, birthplace of the amazing creatures of Jurasic Park and Star Wars movies!
Abel's tecnology allows the robot to interact and, at the same time, to study the speaker by observing many parameters such as the small thermal changes on the face visible in infrared or the heartbeat frequency.
All the elements from which it can deduce what emotions the human in front of it feels.
Abel is having quite an echo and many interviews have been done so far.
